Prioritising the voiceless: Say no to child abuse

Amongst a plethora of social menaces faced by our nation, child abuse and deprivation loom like a pandemic. We witness child marriage, malnutrition, child trafficking and child labour etc in our society very often. India is a home to more than 47 million children out of which 1 million are homeless. Most of them are abused and exploited. Since the children of today are the future of our nation, it is often incumbent on us to secure their future. To meet this obligation, we need to emphasize on their shelter, education, food and health. To achieve this, child protection procedures need to be in place by organisational policy.

Realising this, BMSOSS has come forward as always, with its initiative to spread general awareness in the minds of people. The chairman of the organisation Sri Nirmalya Pradhan and volunteer Sri Rudra Narayan Ojha started cycle rallies with child protection messages across 7 districts, covering 800 kilometres. This was widely acclaimed by the people. These messages so deeply impacted their minds that they vowed to be a part of this initiative.

We firmly believe that child protection is the protection of our future. It is our resolve to continue our endeavour to make people be aware of this menace pervading the society and be a part of this solution.
