Celebrating International Women's Day with the Gift of Life

On the occasion of International Women's Day, 8th March 2026, Banamalli Sahitya O Seva Sangathan successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Drive, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare. The programme was conducted with the generous support of voluntary blood donors, respected teachers, social activists, journalists, and dedicated volunteers, making it one of the organization's most impactful social initiatives.

The blood donation camp received an overwhelming response from the public, resulting in the successful collection of 60 units of blood. Every unit donated represents a precious gift of life that will help patients during emergencies, surgeries, and critical medical treatments. The enthusiastic participation of donors reflected the community's spirit of compassion, responsibility, and service towards humanity.

The programme was graced by several respected teachers, including Sri Pramod Mallick, Sri Kahnu Charan Sahoo, Sri Bishnu Charan Ojha, Sri Raghunath Behera, and Sri Krushna Chandra Khatua, whose presence inspired the participants and encouraged voluntary blood donation among the youth.

The event was also attended by eminent social activists and social workers, namely Sri Sarat Mohanty, Sri Padmanav Satapathy, Sri Ramachandra Mohanty, Sri Monoj Dhir, Sri Sudarsan Pradhan, and Sri Pramod Das. Their motivating words highlighted the importance of social responsibility and the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation.

The programme received valuable support from members of the media, including journalists Sri Basant Pradhan, Sri Basant Sahoo, Sri Chandramani Khatua, and Sri Chitrasen Khatua, whose presence helped spread awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraged greater community participation.
