Madhu Jayanti 2026

The 178th Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das Jayanti, organized by Banamalli Sahitya O Seva Sangathan, was successfully held on 28th April 2026.

Madhu Babu Jayanti is celebrated every year in Odisha to honor the birth anniversary of Madhusudan Das, fondly known as Utkal Gourav. He was a great leader, social reformer, and the first graduate and lawyer from Odisha.

Madhusudan Das played a key role in the formation of Odisha as a separate state and worked tirelessly to protect the Odia language and culture. He also contributed to industrial growth by promoting local industries and encouraging self-reliance.

On this day, people pay tribute through cultural programs, speeches, and educational activities. Schools and organizations remember his contributions and inspire the younger generation to follow his ideals.

Madhu Babu Jayanti is not just a celebration of a great leader but also a reminder of the values of unity, education, and social progress that he stood for.
